After playing a while i'm far from impressed from shift 2. The major issue seems to be the enemy IA, while i can understand having stupid aggressive driving ia for arcadey games like hot pursuit or most wanted(they need to smash my or their car as a game mechanic) and even for shift 1(its a game mechanic to drive like a maniac), since shift 2 goes straight for the Gran Turismo route of only driving perfect i don't see why the opponents can ram the fuck outta me and i can't(if i do i don't get the overtake bonus). Every time i have a rage with lots of opponents i go fast and good until some imbecile rams me into the guardrail(suiciding himself in the process), the rest of the cars overtake me and i lose the race since the performance is similar and there is no rubberbanding. The racing "adversaries" are laughable too, except soderlung they are a lot of wannabe posers especially the main promo driver from formula D(which to be called a proper racing sport is a proper offense to a lot of smaller categories that don't get any rep). Fortunately, unlike the original shift, you are not bound to get stars(win in the top three positions) to go on in the game and just use direct driving xp point, still you get points only for clean driving and not "dirty" driving, which was a specialty of mine i'm afraid to say.
